This fall, The GWE was honored to be asked to bring our weekly curriculum into the 5th Grade classroom of Ms. Cathy Martin at Reginald Chavez Elementary in Albuquerque! Teaching IN the classroom now, are GWE mentors Mary Westurlund and Bev Williams.   Esha Chiocchio took these great shots of the kids making their own turbines out of recycled milk cartons from Whole Foods in ABQ. Turbines, they learned, create hydro electric power and simple turbines use only the wind! Here we have examples of their personal wind turbines!!!! GO GWEers!!!!!!!
